About Lupanar

What is with the name Lupanar Esthetics?? Long story short, I read about it in a book and since I’m a huge nerd, I knew I wanted to build the brand around the name.

Long story long, Lupanar means “The She-Wolf Den” in Latin. What a perfect name for an esthetics studio focusing on confidence and relaxation! It is a strong, powerful name that also gives a sense of home and welcoming.

Well, there is a catch. In Ancient Rome, the term “lupanar” also became synonymous with the term “brothel”. Pompeii holds the remains of the original Lupanar which is where the terms started to become interchangeable. (The whole structure is now excavated and can be toured. So cool and definitely on my list to visit one day!)

How rude, right? Such a strong name was given to a business where the slaves who worked there held absolutely no power. Although brothels were very much ingrained in the culture, it just doesn’t sit right with me.

So, I am reclaiming the term and rebuilding it as a brand! With elements of Roman and Greek Mythology, clean and homey decor, and an open, friendly atmosphere, my little studio is trying to rewrite history. Lupanar Esthetics aims to enhance the confidence of all who visit with skin treatments, body waxing, and much more to come. I’d love to tell you even more in person!

About Reb

Hi there! My name is Rebecca Rebrovich but since it is such a mouthful, you can just call me Reb! I grew up on the Iron Range in Minnesota and have called Bozeman home for the last nine years. I attended Montana State University and graduated with a business degree.

I love to hunt, fish, hike, cook, take spin classes, and read. Before becoming an esthetician, I worked in the outdoor industry. Although I was constantly around the things I loved, I realized I craved a career where I was able to cultivate relationships, be independent, and help others. The knowledge I have gained through esthetics school has been invaluable to me and I am passionate about sharing it with everyone who walks in my door.

Am I your typical esthetician? Absolutely not. My skin has bad days (or weeks), I am not done up to the nines, and my weekends consist of exploring the outdoors. What makes me a good esthetician? I keep it REAL. I am not here to sell you the next best thing or the latest fad. I am here for YOU. To help you relax. To help you build a realistic skin routine.
To educate you about your skin. To get rid of unwanted body hair. To share tips and tricks I have learned. To support you in any way I can. I can’t wait to meet you!
